Jerry has been working at Work Training Center since 1981 years. He was originally hired through the PIC program, soon after becoming a WTC employee. He started out as the Truck Driver / Paper Recycling Supervisor. The early years of WTC recycling, he dealt in Newspaper recycling bringing in about 200 tons of paper each month. Later WTC opened an aluminum buy back center in the WTC breezeway. As this became a viable business, it was moved to a larger facility across the street and given the name Fair Street Recycling. Jerry has been promoted from Senior Crew Leader to Coordinator to his current position as Manager. Fair Street Recycling is now the largest Non-Profit State Certified Buy Back Recycling Center in the North State recycling over 900 tons of material each year. Due to the success of the Chico operation, WTC opened a Fair Street Recycling in Oroville. This part of FSR continues to grow and is being managed by Jerry as well.Jerry is also a local musician playing and recording music with many of Chico’s local bands. He’s married with 3 children, 6 step-children and many grandchildren. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
