Social Skills Training

The Social Skills Training Program is designed to provide programming and training for adults who have severe behavioral problems which prevent their placement in conventional adult day training and vocational programs. Services are for participants who require close supervision within existing programs (Joe McGie, Creative Learning Center and Sierra Center), with a goal of transition to participation in the day program without specialized training.

Services are provided to persons who have behavior disorders, are not of serious danger to themselves or others, and who would otherwise not be able to participate in existing programs.

Program Services Include:

  • Behavior assessment
  • Community skills training
  • Development and implementation of individual, non-aversive treatment plan
